Cannonball is a fresh new sextet that is inspired by the jazz/groove/soul music of Julian ”Cannonball” Adderley. The music of this genre has a heavy blues and gospel influence and a deep infectious groove. The members are well established in the Australian Jazz and commercial music scenes and between them they have performed with the likes of Ray Charles, Jerry Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Michael Buble, James Morrison and The Australian Art Orchestra just to name a few. What a wonderful way to kick off the 2012 Paris Cat Jazz program.
